Issac Brock
i hear a lot of notorious projects in chicago have been torn down in the last few years -- and they're converting them into yuppie areas with condos and townhomes... and starbucks and shit. what's up with that. is there a grand plan to gentrify the chicago inner-city. chicago used to be known for the largest housing project complexes. Its not that simple, some areas (like cabrini green) have been replaced by new housing complexes that are free for previous project residents, but cost a lot for outsiders. This tries to mix it up and make the areas not so bad I guess, but the last I heard about that was middle school so I don't know how well that worked out. Some are just getting torn down, others are still standing..there's not just one thing thats happening to chicagos projects.
MitchThe$nitch
the robert taylor homes are pretty much gone. cabrini is pretyt much gone. people that lived in them are either still in the area or spread all over the place including the southsuburbs. CELT
Chicago is my 2nd home away from Cleveland . The Southside can still be a little grimey and sketchy .
