Its like there are a couple camps as far as general perception of the hip hop culture. There are those that sorta go purely for the money. Those that appeal to the more traditional apreciation of the lyrical content. And then there are those that seem torn as to which part their allegiance lies. I think it ha to do with the way that one classifies the music in general. If one starts breakin down specific artists as either rappers, backpack hip hop, underground, whatever. It seems that the ones who have a higher leveled classification for the type of rap it is, are the ones who care more about the susbtance of the content itself. The ones who tend to lump it all in one larger classification of purely the rap game, are the ones that respect the hustle of it all, and care less about the content of the product being sold. Then you got those like 8onus, who seem to struggle between the money and the content. Maybe I'm just too high. Either way that killed some time. ps.
