Damn, Fermentor...that was my favorite South Park ever!!! I only saw it once, and I was too stoned. But, it had to be the most surreal episode I ever witnessed.

Oh, yeah, right...Happy birthday, Saraday! All the 12 ozers get one of these-

happy birthday.

I'm gonna take this opportunity to ask for an exlusive saraday recipe for gumbo.

holler.

doh, i keep forgetting!

here's my recipe for chicken and sausage gumbo:

1 chicken (butchered)

3 links of spicy sausage, chopped

3 yellow onions, chopped

1 bundle green onions, chopped

2 stalks of celery, chopped

1 green bell pepper, chopped

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 bay leaves

salt, pepper, tony's cacheres seasoning

and the key ingredient: 1/2 jar SAVOIE'S DARK ROUX MIX

savoie-roux.jpg

(i think you can get it in grocery stores in other parts of the country.. look in the specialty food section, or ask the dude that works there or something)

this is very, very easy.

1) begin with a very large pot (one for soup or something) and fill half-way with water and bring to a boil. Add 1/2 can of savoie's dark roux mix.. it dissolves in the water.

2)lightly salt and pepper chicken, throw in the water/roux stuff

3)lightly sautee onions and sausage, throw in the water

4)throw everything else in the water

boil for about 2 hours. after the chicken cooks and is falling off the bone, taste it and see if it needs more seasoning or add water if needed.. it should have lots of juice. more soupy- less stew. boil for another 30-40 minutes.

serve over white rice!

enjoy!
