I mean seriously look at his T's.... the way his pieces go up and down in a zigzag, the dimentional effect..... this is all just Delta INC smoothed out and legal. The characters are nice and harmless, I hope he goes back to them when he gets tired of slicking over Delta's stuff. Spoter Posted October 31, 2001 Share Posted October 31, 2001 i think you're too harsh on toast's letters.i can see delta influence in the first flick.but toast does his letters usually with more curves and goes from tiny to big shapes.i've seen letters by him that i thought were top notch.he's definately an innovator in my book.his letters only show his even more versatile side.i've seen different styles of letters by him, they're not all 3-d ish. love your posts europe. Frankly, I think you're embarrassing yourself. It's coming across like petty high-school alliances and blatant jealousy disguised as "not caring for his style". True style is unique in that it carries across taste boundaries and regional styles, like LA, NY, danish, etc. I don't care for his 3D stuff, but the style is there. The flats he does are as tight as it gets. Who's he biting there? Who are you biting. Sonik? It's ridiculous to make comments like that, because no one invented graffiti. Yeah, I was going to say something pretty much along these lines after reading Sonik's comments, but HAL already said it here probably better than I would've. I'm not even a particularly big fan of 3d letters or Toast's work in particular...but it takes a lot of balls to dis someone who's lightyears ahead of you skill-wise just because you've traveled a lot and have painted with a bunch of "big names". AND it's not just playing around with a style, it's straight-up trying to look like DELTA did it. Again, not that anyone did, but if you ask me, sonik/sixteen are 110% correct.
