say i wanted to hear only one instrument, and or make it louder in the mix, for example the bass guitar because often you can't hear it at all, would that be possible? i don't think simply taking sounds of a certain frequency will work, like the equilizer in windows media player

yes you can run it through fl considering you have an updated version that runs mp3 if not you will have to convert it to a a wav file

load it into a channel the stretch it out in the piano roll then asign it the the fx...

 

once there i usualy go through the list of usin bass boos,7 band, chorus and mute...saving it as a wave or mp3 the start a new projet and repeat but not forgettin to adjust volume levels...

 

 

 

 

or you can use a sterio and fourtrack.. but that takes forfuckinever and you lose sound quality much faster

normally quite hard to do as you will have to get all the various elements present within the mix seperated. I'm not sure if fruity loops will do this as the mp3 is a compressed file that does not contain the data for each individual instrument. I could be wrong though.

god gosh casek......you realize i'm goind to go out and by some external hardrives because of find sounds... bad enough i have a bajillion gigs of hits and samples as it is..

 

i should really start using it

 

i wanted to link my midi junkies thread but..well i'm lazy

sounds good, man. why don't you get a dvd burner and a stack of blanks?

 

just group up your audio samples onto dvd sets...dig?

 

i'll look for some acid loop sets on torrent sites for ya later. i'll link in the appropriate thread.
