I remember someone told me about some photographer dude that came from chicago to take pictures in Detroit. He went over to MCS without a flashlight and fell in one of those murky goo holes of 20+ year old stagnant water. not saying thats you, but thats what this reminded me of. Good luck. I hope you find a neighborhood that has enough super cool awesome despair to fill your book. And I'm being sincere. Like I really want you to find a block full of meth heads and 3 legged dogs. Perhaps you too could fall in a hole. Not becuase I don't like you. But it will be good for the book. You know...like...a metaphor...Can't have a good book without some of those. There are plenty of cabs, they just don't drive around aimlessly.... But indeed the bus is cheaper. Yes, you can still get in the train station.
