wiseguy Posted July 9, 2005 Share Posted July 9, 2005 nah casper, never been to sydney to paint, actually i havent been there since i was about 6 to visit rellies. you should try your hand at painting your simple stuff. just to get the feel of holding a spraycan. go out and pick up some dulux flat black, and chrome and a white or skyblue (whatever you do, stay away from carnival yellow, it comes out like piss, widfire red isnt much better). get some good caps, and find a chilled out spot to paint in the daytime. you might wanna avoid legal walls in the beginning until you have some painting skills. if nothing else get some sheets of masonite to paint in your backyard. good luck. -wiseguy. casperone Posted July 10, 2005 Author Share Posted July 10, 2005 err thanks chuck. absolutechaos, thanks, and i use copics. wise, seeing as the holidays are coming up i think ill have some time to try my hand as you say hehe. got a few friends who paint around here, dont know if you know of mkae (not the one in melbourne) and a few others, so ill see what happens, thanks for the tips and ill avoid yellow. :haha: no problems LOReSeVeNTeN, i think i see what you mean. i was trying to start the letters simple by using a basic sort of shape. its kinda like an curved upside-down isoceles triangle, and then i just add to that. i dunno if that works i thought it looked alright though. it doesnt work with the 'P's though, or any letters according to you, lol. anyway thanks for the advice ill work on it.
