KT08
This is super fuzzy because I took a digital of it. I'm waiting for art school replies now, hopefully acceptances, I already got two. Aaaa stress. Crits and Comments would be greatly appreciated.
dead
The pencil drawing is way off base with the consistency of the paintings. .. Practice, practice... and cut back on the cheese factor you have going on in your paintings. Perfect simpler forms and ideas before attempting to abstract them. Busy= jumbled, messy and ugly (typically speaking).
KT08
When you say the pencil drawing is way of base with the paintings, what exactly do you mean? Like in terms of style, skill level? The painting is busy, I guess I was just experimenting with personal images and application of paint. Thanks for the criticism, I don't really get much at school. castro
KT08 - That first pencil sketch is fucking good. I wish i had the patience to draw that carefully. Edit: And i agree with Dead about the painting, although from what i can see you have some forms and ideas pretty much down, others just need tidying up. I'd be surprised if they don't accept you (although obviously considering which schools you are applying for, etc)
THELASTKILLA!!!
kt-08 i think the inconsistency relies on the fact that your paintings are so painterly-focused on color and shape vs line... the drawing is more line based, hard edged, and less succesful.. i really enjoy your paintings!! remember to have a purpose in your paintings instead of just throwing in random shit that looks cool(not saying you do that but a lot of art you see now is like that...)peace some old shits from my first painting class... ill post more shit later...
