Conspiracies are fun, much more interesting than reality because you can make up what ever you want with a conspiracy and it's hard to disprove being that you are claiming hidden truths and layers of disinformation. Reality, however is much harder to play around with because you actually have to have a very critical view of what is going on, good knowledge of history and an analytic ability to be taken seriously. That's all hard work, why do all that when you can just play fairy tales and make sensational claims that make you look insightful and all seeing with just a fraction of the effort?
