yes, SMKJUDA beat me "jawn" is probably the first that comes to mind when thinking of philly slang..

we also started national use of the word's "YO" "yaahmean" "yaahmsayin"

and how about a "PHILLIE" as in roll up one?? nah maybe not that.. we also use hard vowels.. ie: water is pronounced - "wohter" not "wahter" etc...

you forgot a few more..

"fall back"-take it easy..

"nut ass"-yo you a nut-ass dude..

"all crazy" not necessarliy meanin it is crazy so i guess its a adjective

"bull"-boy

"young scrap.." various meanings..

"Early..." see above

What is a "MAC" machine anyone that has ever been to philly knows what this is...

The Bristolian dialect is a distinctly warm language with the full bodied sound of the West Country. It does however contain many words and phrases that mean something very different in Bristol than they do elsewhere. It also has many words and pronunciations that are unique to Bristolian which can often confuse people not familiar with the language.

We have our own dicitonary.
