It's pretty gritty but you can get around it. Just gotta get used to it I guess, but I'll probably end up patching it up a bit.

Does anyone else have any sweet homemade spots to post?

Before i moved to Colorado, i made a little box about a foot tall, and skated it like 3 times.

I also got the first handrail I ever skated when they were tearing down the building, but also had to abandon that during the move. I was planning on cutting some holes in a parking lot and sinking post holes, so i could show up with the rail and be too scared to try tricks.

Well it looks like it's pretty good despite the rough ground. Learned back tails on it yesterday. And my homie Evan was getting noseblunts!

The spot is in my parents' driveway where I no longer live. They were away for a couple weeks and needed me to look after the house, so I built a ledge. It's just a nice little obstacle that I'll have there every time I go back to visit.

Posted this in the iPhone thread, where i guess it is a little more relevant, but i figured it wouldn't hurt to cross-post it in here:

So the company i work for (MapleXO, recycled skateboard jewelry and accessories) collaborated with our friends at Grove, who make rad bamboo iPhone cases, to make these rad new shells for the iPhone made out of post-industrial skateboard waste.

they dropped today and they are pretty affordable.

check 'em out and support your boy!

this was a huge project for us, including a trip down to Schmitt Stix' factory in mexico to get things done. basically, we're super excited about it and we couldn't be more stoked with the final product.
