okay... here's the plan...

The MixTrader SuperThread

There's nothing like a good dj mix,

so post links to whatever you find.

If you have a great mix as an mp3,

use http://www.yousendit.com to send it to

youself and post the link in here.

Got that? Good.

Let's try to focus on underground talent from any genre.

12oz isn't the place for trading FunkMasterFlex mixtapes.

Piracy isn't the plan, building hype and awareness for your

local deejays and spreading the good word is more of the focus.

to start off:

DJ Matic - The Blue Project Vol 1 (part a)

DJ Matic - The Blue Project Vol 1 (part b)

thanks to saraday for this one.

good find!

this is my new driving/contemplating/making sex CD.

nice one

most of the stuff I have is dnb, and a lot of that is darker/faster, so I won't post up unless anyone's specifically interested.

very interested. I'm getting back into a dnb phase.

I used to spin dnb in my late teens and kind of burned out on the genre,

but now I'm really feeling some of the new stuff. I have an AMAZING set

of dillinja on breezeblock, I might post that up from home later.

oh shit PS...is there a program i can get(FREE!) that puts track marks on long ass dj mixes?

gonna hit up download.com....but you cats always seem to have the good shit.

you could use soundforge. add the mix and add the tracks breaks.

i've used that before.. its kind of a bitch to get it tracked at each song, so i would usually just break a mix up in to even tracks of 5 or 7 minutes.

should be able to find it free somewhere....

i dont think Matic made a tracklisting for this mix. i can ask. i assure you, if i post a mix that he made, it will be worth listening to if you're into jazz and good hip hop.

and i am into jazz and good hiphop.

I'ma go pull down haste's jumpup mix.

In his notes he mentions how it's jumpup

before joker records and aphrodite took over,

which is funny because I used to get such a

laugh out of my joker records.

oh my gosh.... jump up mix

It's like I'm 16 again, rolling in the jungle room.

Dillinja - Live on Breezeblock

The guy is a clasic producer, a softer dj, but he builds giant speaker systems as his day job.

Last time I saw him live, his shit got nabbed by customs, and the only reason why I was going to see the show

was to see he legendary 'dill-sound-syst'. Still decents enough.

listen here - listen up
