LICKERISH
PG 99, you know there's a supply company local to you that sells caps for the new system? You can pick them up at proletariat in Cambridge or grab em online.
Stakk
pg.99--Use a 1/8 drill bit to drill into the stem of ny fats. Then you can use it on the female cans. That what I do. I bought some adapters and I dont really use it. Caps spray different with it.

username0913
I've managed to paint clean pieces with the new Rusto stock caps. Just gotta go with it. Its harder, mind you, but it's possible, with minimal cutbacks. They don't have as much overspray as valspar does, which is a bonus.
dontlookback
BMC: Boston Fats were a color innovation by TROUT ART SUPPLY that was the 1st green cap and been out for what 2 rs now? For another company to claim it was clearly "coincidence" when it is clear as day the green caps are at least 2 years old is to me definitely not a "coincidence" It is just a cheap shot and corporate greed of big boys who can't innovate on their own. America always creates things that are stolen / duplicated / counterfeited by low life scum. BMC: I highly doubt that trout innovated a thing. most likely trout ordered the caps from the company that makes them, probally in china. If any other company has a cap that is similar, its probally because they ordered it from the same company that trout did. And dude, am i the only one that sees deen as the biggest cornball on 12oz? or at least nothing but an internet hype man? yeah, i tried his paint. shit was given to me, and its on my shelf of collector cans cuz that paint was so shitty i expect it to be history any day now. Fuck Dem 22's
I need some help. So I have two color place black cans that are new (different). Elmers Spray Can tips don't fit on it right. How would I shave off the bottom to make it fit?
Stakk
Take a sharp knife or an xacto and slowly shave all sides of the stem. Do alittle at a time, because if you remove to much, the cap will leak.
eviltrailer77
Or... just use a NY fat.

eviltrailer77
Anybody remember what these where (fat, skinny etc) I remember seeing them back in the day but I can't for the life of me remember what they did. Found these, along a with a bunch of rusted out cans, on a walk about down an abandoned sideage.
LICKERISH
That company is still around, just not as popular as other cap/valve companies. Same company did the Niagra fats as well.
eviltrailer77
Yeah I posted over em over in the vintage paint thread too, figured I would see what some of my fellow old timers had to say on the subject. Apparently they are the infamous "jiff foam" fat. Like I said I had seen em but never used em.
thinkr
ok forget what everyone has said about trouts female fats being the best because i just got a shipment of the AP female fats and they are killing the trouts even though the price is a little steep its well worth it....they dont leak like trouts and you can get a solid flare without even trying (also unlike trouts) so if your looking to move onto bigger better caps and not use crappy ass sekt adapters that make every cap look like a clean stock then go with the AP female fat...also i spent 22$ on 50 of them which isnt the best price but they dont clog very easily and they spray the same size as the boston rusto fats

manyalia
My question is.. with rusto turning to the male valve/ female cap, what are some good cans of household cleaners or whatever to get female caps from? Buying caps is weak. Preesh.
dontlookback
^^the ones that use to have caps that were good are phasing them out and getting different caps and in some cases different valves.
