Feed Yer Ego
yo, so did any of you ever purchase AP's "extinguisher caps" and actually receive them? and better yet get to put 'em to use?

orarok08
NY Thins + Kilz Primer. Love it. I use a Rusto Fat for quick fills. Doesn't seem to have any problems with it either.

orarok08
I received some Beat paint awhile back. Most cans come with a standard cap, more-less a grey stock cap. But some can have a clear cap. Looks much like a Yellow Universal or the Fuchsia Ironlak Outliner. I don't know if they are popular or a rare find.
Cracked Ass
If you're doing fills where neatness is less important than hurrying the fuck up, try Kilz with the stock tip to fill in...and, Kilz tips give the same effect on Rusto cans. It's a good blaster cap that's just shy of extinguisher status. Part 2: The Kilz2 (low odor formula) aerosol stock tip is a COMFORT TIP with the same blaster output as the regular Kilz stock tip. Both tips will empty cans faster than usual, so expect only 2/3 of the coverage area you would get with a Rusto fat. One night I did a spot with my boy. We both filled in with Kilz, but he used a Rusto fat and I used the Kilz stock. From a distance my fill looked more opaque than his, and he was dissatisfied. Since then I've never messed with anything but the stock on Kilz.

P3ZS
ive been experimenting with that. havent found anything appliable to rusto yet but hopefully i will. i just hate paying for graff supplies
orarok08
If you find the right cans, the caps may not work. Some caps were designed for finer particulates. The paint would come out not in uniform.
$GK!
so i heard about using a cap from a can of wasp/bee spray. will the cap make paint shoot out like the wasp killer (like 5 feet distance or so) or is it all about the pressure in the can itself that makes it do that? Lady_Sec
I've read that Elmers spray glue has a cap worth racking. Target has it. I don't know of any stores that just sell caps. I've read too many times about people just sticking to a ny thin or fat....or even stock caps. It's not about the cap...it's how you use it. LICKERISH
I will let you guys in on a somewhat secret thats been discussed on here before - PAM cooking spray caps are a nice fat cap on the new PT Male Valve... Still partial to the Trout Art Female Fats though.
P3ZS
i dont use pt. i use aa and regular. will it still work on those cans?
xaaronx
no. painter's touch cans use female stemmed caps. american accents and stops rust (and most other good paints) use male stemmed caps.

xaaronx
fuck. are there any well known house-hold materials with male stemmed caps and fat sprays? if you're using rustoleum products you can go to walmart and find the elmers spray adhesive. take as many of those caps as you can. probably the best you're going to go for rustoleum unless you feel like buying a bunch of ny fats and modding them to fit (which is what i do). they don't fit as they come, but if you heat up the stem and fit something into it (i use a 2mm allen wrench) and make it sort of flare out, it will fit perfect. gives a nice baseball sized spray if done correctly and you can do flares which no other cap can with rustoleum. trowel ewk
I want some caps for filling in bombings, outlining, and tags?? I think I'll buy a 100 pack of some good ones. Can you guys recommend me some? my faves: big fills: rusto fat, pink dot.... outlines: german outline, ny thins tags: pretty much any....(basically comes down to what you want it to look like and can control) I would highly recommend buying a sampler pack and trying out a bunch of caps to see what works best for you...everyone is different... good luck.
