loaftie
pink dots dont work on the shitty paint i use.
steveparesucksgasm
the ones with the bigger gaps between the ridges are NY FATS rusto fats are the ones with inset orange dots that usually only work on rustoleum cans ny fats=black dot usually. the cut in the stem on a rusto fat is shorter and wider, so it wont leak with rusto. the one on a ny fat is a big longer but skinnyer, so it will work better with the valves on other paint, like shitcans brown dot rusto fats are softer but similar, you can rack them off bedding spray cans. which is like niagra that they used to com eon. loaftie
thanks... i like the ones that come on the elmers spray glue alot actually they work just fine
Special K808
K Mart has a tire spray w/ a green top thats got a good cap. fits solid on rusto and krylon unlike a lot of caps which just don't seem to fit quite right. Its got a white hood w/ black dot and to me it seems silmilar to a NY fat but only slightly wider and for some reason it does flares really easily
TRUEone
whats a good skinny cap that can still do flares???
jerk978
on krylon h20 cans they have fats. i think. but they're not really anything special:confused:
Special K808
TRUE- how bout you try different skinny caps and see for your self what caps flare well. and using the right cap doesn't mean it'll look right the first time, getting clean flare tags takes practice like everything else in this game. tango 24
small sealed container filled with acetones (nail varnish etc) swish it around leave it for a while blow some arrow through them (turn a tin upside down and spray) they should be unclogged and ready to go
service_depo
thanks, but what do u mean by arrow? and also are u sure it works with gold dots cause there thin as, like i can usually unclog blues and greys with metho, but not gold dotts although havent tried nail polish remover yet cheers
Aer'
White cap black dot - Skinny White cap grey dot - Super Skinny Grey banana black dot - Soft (dope for tags i find) Black banana grey dot - Super Soft White cap pink dot - Fat White cap orange dot - Super fat, probably 2 fingers wider than pink. Silver cap black dot - Soft and fat, great for anything. Those are the only ones i ever use. The other euro caps are really gimmicky: Italic caps, and just tweaked versions of the above. steveparesucksgasm
what about those biege dots that german montana makes? like, compared to grey dots? ive always wanted to try them, but they dont come cheap most places. i got a dope product for cleaning caps, let me try to get a flick. works great, but its a male can so you have to spray it in a bottle/container/dish filled with caps. i spray some on a clogged gold dot and some ny thins, just let them sit in an old can lid until most of the cleaner evaporated. then used it, they both spray fine now. ohKsinatOr
my personal preference is monster stock caps, they are grey with a black dot. they are seriously good you all need to somehow get your hands on them!
Aer'
^ I'll co-sign that if they're the 'banana' grey cap black dots? Aka Soft caps to me. You can buy them to fit Belton paint. Great for anything really.
sqr
yeah agreed the grey black dots are where its at. clog easy tho

Special K808
you guys ever seen a NY fat thats red with a white dot?. I got it on a can of stops rust last week. It sprayed kindda fatter than the regular ones, but was still a good cap. Maybe rusto is gonna replace their crap stock caps with these from now on....i hope. tosters ass
i noticed only sometimes NY fats work on rusto sometimes it just leaks every ware other time its a nice fit and works good. any one elce notice that?
steelill
They Don't work. don't buy them! The stem is storter and two thin! I'm going to take my AA to AA is that OK
steveparesucksgasm
does that mean that they will work on the kilz craftcote cans then? cause except for the cap and valve thing, kilz craftcote is a pretty good paint for coverage. plus it smells like oranges. slipone
so whats really bigger in spray a PINK dot or an ORANGE dot? im thinkin PINK cuz the ORANGE is just a modified version of a rusto fat.
Aer'
There's no difference apart from the Orange being slightly softer.
slipone
what do u mean as softer?
Aer'
The paint comes out less brutal. The spray is in my opinion a bit quieter, and bit neater, and i get way more can control, for flares and bends etc. Think of it as the difference between a bare-knuckle fight and a glove-fight. Same factors, except one is less 'in your face'
slipone
oh ight get wat r sayin. thanks Aer'
