MEN: Sperm Bank Donors Needed

Reply to: (see message body)

Date: 2006-02-21, 12:12PM

Pacific Reproductive Services, a progressive sperm bank with offices in Pasadena and San Francisco, is currently looking for healthy men of all ethnicities to become paid sperm bank donors. To be eligible, you need to be:

* between the ages of 21 and 35

* able to make weekly visits to our San Francisco office

* able to make a one year commitment

* able to provide general information about your biological family's medical history

* be in excellent health, and not at risk for any sexually transmitted diseases * college degree preferred

At the first appointment, you will be asked to collect a specimen in a private donation room. We then do a semen analysis, and evaluate the viability of the specimen after freezing.

There is a six to eight week screening period before you are accepted as a donor. The screening process involves making several donations, an in-person interview and a complete physical exam (you will be asked to provide blood, urine and semen samples) and completing a family health history and legal agreement. If accepted as a donor, you will be compensated $60 to $80 per donation that meets our minimum sperm count, and will receive a $100 sign on bonus. Most donors donate on average once weekly over a minimum one-year period.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept donor applicants who have had sex with other men in the past five years. This is necessary in order to remain in compliance with US Public Health Service guidelines for tissue bank licensing. Pacific Reproductive Services also offers a Willing to Be Known Donor option, which allows for offspring to meet their donor after they reach legal age. As well, if accepted as a donor we offer a referral incentive of $100 for anyone you refer to us who is accepted as a donor. This is a great way to make some extra money, while helping people create families! If interested please visit our web site: http://www.PacRepro.com. Click on How to Become a PRS Sperm Donor" on the left column of the homepage, read the material, and complete the initial donor application online, or call 415 281-0741, leave your name and contact information and a recruiter will contact you to conduct a phone interview.
