rental
i have a couple of scratches on my hand which are all infected. the only thing i can think of them being from is when i hopped a fence i might have scratched it. what happens when people dont get tetanus shots when they need to? i mean, i know you're supposed to get them if you've like stepped on a rusty nail or something, but what are they really for?just wondering... sectorTVA
tetanus is a bacteria that thrives in low oxygen enviorments...that cut on your skin is the perfect breeding grounds for it...unfortunately it excretes a toxin that cause your muscles to become stiff. normally the jaw will stiffin first and lock up hence the nickname for tetnus, "lockjaw", if left untreated the muscles will become so stiff that they could break bones. if you have tetanus it is important to see your doctor imeadiately as so he can prescribe antitoxins and perhaps give a tetanus booster. Smart
rust poisoning? I think you should be worrying about tetnus... you'll know if you've got it if you get lockjaw in the next couple days... good luck with that...
