dropone
Anyone check this movie out. i just got it on dvd. i thought it was amazing, but i was a little dissapointed in the fact that all the music (which was by dj shadow) was mostly his old shit except for one or two beats. for anyof you who dont know what this film is about check www.darkdays.com. Dont let the amtrak police kick you out of your house.

KASTsystem
i saw it in the theatre a little while back... it was a pretty good film...but the "happy ending" made it seem a little fake...(i know the film was a documentary, but i think that the ending happened the way it did because there was a camera there--if you don't know what i'm talking about, i am being vague so that i don't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it)
Guest KING OF HELL
you should first read the book "the mole people" buy jennifer toth. and i hardly think the music was the point of the movie.

Guest BROWNer
bump.. i just saw it finally.. there were definitely some beautiful scenes..one that comes to mind would be when 'dee' was buzzing the guys hair and she gives him a little 'fag tag' at the back without him knowing and they both start laughing.. the life stories of each individual were definite highlights for me..it was good to see the other side of it as well..by that i mean not a primary focus on the homeless that are constantly drunk, high and incredibly fucked up... when i lived in vancouver, i lived in the shittiest part of town(east hastings) and the shit i saw there on the daily was just beyond words. so, in a sense, as a minor minor criticism, i guess you could say that this movie was a little bit easier to swallow than some of the shit thats out there...i can just picture people seeing this that have no idea about these things thinking, oh, its not that bad after all!!! as far as the filming getting them apartments and off the streets.. that's speculative, maybe even probable, but so what....that's a bunch of people given a new start that may not have happened at all.
