NO MATTER HOW IMPRESSIVE EVIDENCE LOOKS deny it. say "you can say what you want, but thats not true" be a broken record. say the same thing word for word and bore them to death. when answering questions use as few words as possible. no long-winded rants.keep it simple. dont be scared into calling them back when cops leave messages on your answering machine. they want you to be scared into trying to clear your name up. DONT CALL BACK. unplug the stupid machine. shit hits the fan GET EVERY GRAFFITI RELATED THING OUT OF YOUR HOUSE ASAP. dont let them keep you on the phone for more than a minute. seem disintrested in theyre evidence or what "your frend said" get off the phone. Guest sober Posted September 3, 2004 Share Posted September 3, 2004 wear nice clothes to court. i havent gone to court in 10 years but if i did i would dress as nerdy as possible. dont catch tags overtly shitfaced. fuck dressing like a writer. low profile steelo. no bright clothes. all black is conspicuous. if theyre trying to pin you to a night of vandalism, pin you to fingerprints on a can in some guys bag that got caught, fuck that. politely be uncooperative. the cops getting paid good money to fuck with you, your not. again its common sense but i hear about kids doing the stupidest shit. do not let a cop into your house, unless he has a warrant. talk to him briefly outside and say hes embarrasing you coming to your house over bullshit. i say the longer it takes them to arrest you after an incident the better. it reflects on the officers uncertainty, especially if they havent developed ground-breaking evidence wise over that time. sometimes theyll arrest you just to give you a courtdate a year from when you got arrested. during that time theyll give you conditions (ex. no association with friends present at the time to the arrest, no spraypaint on your person) just so it makes you stress, and harder for you to get up. this happened to someone i know.. hed get friends to hold his stuff after a spot. good friends. a day before his court case they dropped the case against him.. maintain your innocence. Guest spectr Posted September 3, 2004 Share Posted September 3, 2004 ok well you werent caught in the act so they really dont have shit in most states they got your finger prints on the cans of paint and the dude at the store who stocked the paint and they people who put the paint in the boxes and all these other people who touched the paint just lie and say you handeld the paint for this kid or some shit like that second off i reccomend if you reasonable suspect you are going to get locked for graffiti look into a lawyer sit down with him at his office and talk to him explain to him what you do what the situtation is etc and see what he says it might cost you 500 bucks but in the long run thats nothing compared to years of shit and a felony arrest on your record the lawyer is going to know the laws better and when you get arrested if they come to your house you get to call him and tell him and he will show up to see you in jail as you will now be one of his clients if you have a lawyer when you end up getting book and questioned it will make them think tiwce about trying to pull a fast one on you and trying to fuck you and if you get locked if they catch you in the act they have to wait for him to show up to question you contact the national lawyers guild and find a good lawyer for graffiti in your area dont go with the public defender they wont do shit but want you to plea bargin and that will do nothing but fuck you in the long run you can probally beat any case they can make on you right now so dont worry about it.
