but at least she finished the race this time unlike at the last olympics when she had to run off the track mid race cos she shat her pants.

AAAHHH i remember that.

what a way to go.

completely/somewhat unrelated. i was watching insomniac in Tokyo last night and dave attell was talking to these two girls from Australia. one of them was beautiful beyond belief, and i've decided that it's my favorite accent on girls. i mean look at Jaymee Ong.

that is all.

Well I'm glad the USA team at least saved face and won the bronze.

Hopefully this will be a wake-up call for the US olympic committee and the NBA players themselves. We need to put some outside shooters on that team. And although I think it's unrealistic to think that we'll get the BEST players all showing up (i.e. Garnett, Shaq, Ray Allen, McGrady, Kobe all volunteering together), hopefully we'll get some of these key players, and some good outside shooters.

Some dude back in the day did a headspin during his routine, and the judges were so terrified of it they banned it forever. I'm wondering when the hell are gymnasts gonna up the ante and start doing airflares.

Also, gymnast form (pointed toes, perfectly straigt legs) is actually looked down upon in breakdancing, since it loses the raw feel. I think it looks amazing, but yeah, I guess it seems a bit off when doing it to breaks.

Oh yeah, and fuck Lithuania.

dude, the whole pommel horse routine is basically all flares, and the non tumbling portion of their floor routine always contain some.

i thought that the hamm twins looked like pmb.

is mamerro in la right now? summit?

That was insane, as a citizen of this country i also want to apologise to brazil's vanderlei de lima...some cop should have spotted/punch him in the face...same dude has pulled the same trick on different athletic meetings in the past..what a wacko

Well, flares actually did come from gymnastics and were copied by bboys. Windmills were the other way around.

I wish I'd been in LA for Freestyle Session 8, even though I heard it was a huge mess with city officials cancelling the venue (the Aqua Dome) the same day of the event. Tickets from PR to Cali are just way too steep to manage. I've never actually been too interested in Summit... way too huge and hip-hopped out, but I guess it'd be interesting. FSS has more of a family feel to it.
