EPiK25
Re: New Tools to Combat Graffiti Read or watch the video http://www.kare11.com/news/news_arti...storyid=135650 Forget about ghost busters, how about graffiti busters? Friday, Saint Paul unveiled a new plan to wipe out graffiti within 48 hours. It's the latest weapon in the fight to wipe out graffiti which is bad news for gangs and vandals who tag public and private property in Saint Paul, but it's good news for everyone else. Saint Paul is teaming up with Minneapolis based Wagner Spray Tech Corporation. The company has donated state of the art equipment designed to wipe out the offending spray painting almost as fast as it appears. "There is extensive research that has actually shown the quicker you remove it the better chance you have of eradicating it in that particular area," said Parks and Recreation Director, Bob Biersheid. Depending on how the pilot program goes, this kind of quick response team with special equipment may be formed in other cities around the country. Wagner Vice President Carl Cooper added, "Our hopes are that if we can see a reduction in graffiti around the community then we could expand this program throughout the country to other communities."
