yeah I didn't feel like ordering shoes off the internet and I decided to hit the shoe store to see whats up. As soon as I walked in they caught my eye and I was on my way with them in less than 5 minutes. I love the color scheme with the gray/royal..and I love the shape of the shoe. The pic doesn't do them justice.

So I just came back this morning from the NIKE Sample Sale in Orange

County. I attend this seasonly, and I get a chance to look at what's to

come for the next season's drop. There's an auction held everytime I go,

where they auction off shoes that have not been released (date to be

released: Fall 2005). So, of course there were some hot kicks that every-

body went crazy over. Anyway, all the shoes I wanted, I graciously got out-

bid by 50 bucks, so I came home with these (where plans including ebay

remain in the near future):

and I ended up getting my girl these:

Not the best shoes ever. But a helluva lot cheaper that paying

retail. Biotch.

PS. Watch out for 1 peice Dunks with only 1 peice of stiching- oo that's nice.

The funny thing with sneakers, which ultimately turned me off to them, is that they sre simply built with zero attention to longevity and quality in comparison to other mens' shoes. Wear a pair of sneakers for a few weeks and they will, irreparably, look and smell like shit, and there is nothing you can do to maintain them. I started buying higher-end mens' shoes a few years ago, leather shoes in the $200-$250 range, and while that *is* a lot of money for a pair of shoes, they all look perfect to this day. If I had had spent that same money on sneakers, I would have bought and worn out several pairs by now. And the truly nice thing about fine leather mens' shoes? Women will actually notice them and care.

Just two cents. I understand collecting for collecting's sake, of course... but sneakers to me seem ultimately unfulfilling.

I think this spring I'm going to go for something a bit different.

I hear sonik on the sneaker thing.... so many of them just aren't

made for real world use. They are the man's handbag.

I'm thinking of a pair of 'trail runners' just because I'm need shoes

that dont kill my feet if I have to walk more than a mile off the cement.

One upside iwth sneakers is that the flat soles work nicely on my bike

pedals, but it would be nice to lean a bit more towards the rugged side.

^ just over $100. They will probably last 2 seasons at least.
