I greatly enjoy the early Iron Maiden albums - such as Killers and the self-titles debut CD - they have a bit more of a punk flavor with Paul D'Ainno on vocals.

For Bruce era I would go with Piece of Mind (perhaps the greatest metal record ever) and Number of the Beast and PowerSlave. Once you get into the Somewhere in Time, 7th Son, Fear of the Dark era Maiden, it gets a bit synthesizer-y for my taste. Still a few good songs in there. I would just avoid the Blaze-era record like X Factor and Virtual 11 - the latest album, Brave New World - features a return to Bruce Dickenson and some solid tunes. Go see them live cuz Eddie comes out and attacks the band. Truely amazing.

Derek Riggs rules!

I saw Iron Maiden live...last year. You should have seen some of the characters in attendance. We got in free, mostly to clown people, but they actually came off on "Number of the Beast".
