Seriously worth it for long distance comfiness in the drops/hoods. I'd put some compact drops on there to make the reach/drop shorter and less deep, then adjust stem length from there. FSA Omegas are like $30, 3T Ergosums/Ergonovas are equally inexpensive. Soup Posted November 5, 2010 Share Posted November 5, 2010 Those look nice sir. I've got a shorter stem to use with those already too. Seems like the short reach is a standard for cross bikes. I need to replace the cables, front der, and front der shifter because they're split/bent/falling apart. Also the back bolt holding my caliper in place is still loose while completely tightened. Ebay right now doesnt have too many cross bikes and for what you get the roadies are so much cheaper. I dont like compromise any more than you guys do. I guess we'll see what auction i can win. The frame's a true traditional 56. I'm 5' 9". I rented a 54 cm Six13 in hawaii a few years back and put some serious miles on it. Now there's a clearcoated 54 Six13 with full campy record, carbon modolo bars and stems, and Ksyrium SL wheels up for less than 1500. If so they go for like $500 used on eBay and are considered the BEST cranks in the game - among the lightest and, and definitely stiffest. I think they're BB30 only... Also, Cdales are nice.
