Please fill me in on what's so bad ass about these bikes...

I mean, to me it comes down to frame geometry, if the geometry's right, then the bike will ride good....

provided it's made of good materials as well it will be a nice bike, but for the life of me I just can't

figure out what the infatuation with these fixed gear, seemingly normal looking road bikes is.

the thig about them for me, is just the feeling of the ride. you get a really connected to the bike feeling. it makes you a better rider, you learn to really pay attention to whats going on around you and whats going to be happing in front of you when you get there. its a "pure" feeling i guess, for a lack of better words.

not to mention the weight savings, the nice tight and quick handaling that works well riding in heavy traffic.

its just alot of fun basicly.

and real easy to mantain.

just snapped a picture of my 03 pista concept in street mode:

she's in desperate need of a good washing, after the last few rainy days iv been working in on her.

sometimes i change out the bullhorns for the track drops, and head on down to the velodrome for some real track action, just so i can say i keep it real

okay fixie rider.... explain this to me:

what's with the cards in the rear spokes?

Are they track numbers? Why do I see peole on the street with them?

How come someone can find a cheap beater bike,

take off all the components and call it a fixie and sell it for 10x what it's worth?

Average road bike - most of the gear = more money ??? WTF?

i am not the most proven fixed rider on here fersure,

however the spokecards are for races, they act as id.

much like a number plate but more improvised and DIY.

i suppose kids keep em in there as a mark of participation,

personally i think one is tolerable but kids that are rocking

three or more just look rediculous because doesnt that make

it harder for the mod to see who you are in a race anyway?

i dunno.

peace.

ps - somebody help be ID that peugeot up there.

approximate year of production and model?
