Locking grips are good, mainly for stopping them spinning around the bars. It happens occasionally.

Today I got passed up my favourite climb by a dude with a backpack, I couldn't match his pace. Going back tomorrow to try it again.

this. ive never had (or seen) a grip come completely off a bike, but ive had grips twist and it leads to tears in the grips.

also never heard that hairspray tip, il have to check it out next time im putting grips on a mtb (which will probably be never, i have grip shifts and apparently almost nobody makes a decent pair of grips for a bike with grip shifts) ive used silicone glue to put on grips though, if it werent for silicone glue being a pain in the ass to work with, it would have worked nice.

My grips have never spun and I've never used a locking grip. I used hairspray once but I used too much and that shit took like a week to dry, I haven't used it since.

Destroyed some trails today, I want a computer so I can see how my speed is on those super rolling winding singletrack sections.

so i'm trying to buy that ss homegrown i posted on the previous page. i think it will sit right at "not quite too big" (i'm 5'10").

also, does anyone have experience w/ building a 1x9 set up? i think i might do that for my 29er build, but don't really know much about it.

I've seen a couple 1x9 setups.

Basically no front mech, a singlespeed chainring (unramped I think they're called), shorter chain, 9spd cassette and rear mech. You can also get chain devices to stop the chain coming off the top of the ring.

A guy a ride with runs 1x9. He's got Raceface Deus cranks in the front, just make sure you get one with the bash guard so you don't drop the chain.

The menacing campaigns that drive the NY Escort corporate spyware and adware market is developing way out of hand. Who are these companies and how do they NY Escorts get away with it? They are costing computer users millions with their sneakware system of promotional crap!We have NY Asian Escorts some serious problems. These narcissistic bugger programmers that develop application and browser hijackers, pop-up pushers, adware scams NY Asian Escort and other bogus blots of code that only make life worse, need to be taught a lesson or two.

do you guys call derailleurs mechs? weird.

never heard that before

any of yall ever thought about a 1x3? when i mtb i MAYBE use 3 gears, if i ever decide to invest serious money into a mtb ima try to hook up a front "mech" to the chainstay and have 3 gears in the back. in theory it might work. but if you can tweak the limits on a regular 9 speed mech id obviously just do that.
