europe has more and better trains, you can paint 5 different cleans in one yard there. then get on a train wake up in another country with more trains..........in conclusion the american transit system sucks, maybe thats why euros love the clean steel. plus when i was in italy i saw so much stuff running that really gives you an incetive to paint........in the states i dream of just have a clean not directly go to the shop and get buffed. no beef just the facts.

why does everyone say that, they only run in most countries, as they get hit so hard that there is no way they can ghost every painted train, the most of Italy is a exeption to the rule though.

yeah, its not like they want to run the trains that are bombed.. they just dont have a choice, either they run with graffiti or they dont run at all, which is a pretty bad thing when your business is to transport people.. (-;

Depending on the train system

Anyway, seeing your train in traffic depends on many things like the country, the transit company (private or not), the budget they can spend on buffing, the culture etc...

Look at New York, Amsterdam, Dortmund, back in the days your train was running for ages...Today, as soon as they can, they take it off the traffic to clean it !

On the other hand, in Belgium for example, trains are getting hit for around 12-15 years and back in the days, you should have been lucky to see something running. While today, many pannels are rolling the line (depending on the model, don't ask me why !), some are even running for more than one year...

Anyway, I can understand Americans are hitting Fr8ts, as they are running for ages while pannels are not even pulling out the yard !

Some more pictures.... :lol:

The last model we get in Belgium (in traffic since last year !)

And the kind of models running for months even years, the Inter City train

Do you also have train lovers in your countries that are just tacking flicks of trains because they like it !?? I suppose you do..

In Belgium, we've got 2 guys updating their own site on a regular basis, and what we can find there is some real nice pictures (even if the pannels are not that clear on the pictures !) :

Re: Who carres ???

Anyway, just a small note to give a comment on the picture below....

Those red "cherry" trains have been lent by Belgium to the Netherlands during 2 years. Those models are only running during rush hours and the pieces on the picture were done by Dutch people in the Netherlands...byt who cares ?? :confused:
