NASA Study Will Pay You $18,000 To Watch You Sleep

(KUTV) NASA is looking for volunteers to lie in bed for 70 days.

NASA scientists are working to find ways to keep their astronauts healthier and safer when spending long periods of time in space. NASA says head-down bed rest is a good way to mimic a person traveling in space without gravity.

The study will help show how much a body, titled head down and feet up for 70 days, 24-hours a day, without getting out of bed except for limited times is like an astronauts body during the weightless of space flight. Scientists will watch the study participants to learn how an astronaut's body will change in weightlessness during future space flights.

Participants will be allowed to read books, play on the computer, watch TV and even work, but can not get out of bed.

NASA will pay study participants $18,000 for their time.
