Some people even made some sort of religion after he died based on him somehow, like the church of Coltrane or something, because (especially) towards the end of his life his music was so spiritual and powerfull. And on a side note, if you can, please take the time to compare a solo by Coltrane's drummer from the 60's classic quartet (Elvin Jones) with a solo by Mitch Mitchell (Jimi Hendrix's drummer)...and tell me if you can tell the difference.
