26SidedCube
So I just got back from getting some tastey Subway (BMT, lettuce tomato, light onion, oil and vinegar for those who are interested) to sit down and enjoy my meal. Browsing 12oz as the TV plays on in the background and what do I hear? TONITE! On the Great American Celebrity Spelling Bee! Am I alone in finding this a little... odd? I'm watching Brett Butler spell Caribbean on national prime-time television. I'm really at a loss for words here. Flabbergasted, even. Anyone care to comment on this? Anyone watching this? Did I miss the apocalypse? Are there half-bastard, ass-less chap wearing halflings taking turns driving broken glass into my intestines? Am I in some sort of Matrix-fad reality? Someone please bring me back down to Earth.. I feel like I'm about to bump heads with the cast of Event Horizon.

The best thing about Subway is that at every franchise I seem to go into I make some sort of instant connection with the employees. About two years ago I ate it for free everyday from having friends that worked up there, now here I am 900 miles away and I'm already getting a hook-up with this cute little, sorta chubby, Indian chick. I don't know what it is... but something about me screams 'give me bread and assorted deli products'. Some kind of charisma, huh? Anyway.. I just finished watching this shit and they had this 13 year old middle eastern kid out-spelling half the celebrities for a good 5 or 10 minutes... like Dow said, I think satire is slowly becomming reality. Yuck: FOX... it's still on.
26SidedCube
Another note: They've got a Brittish guy saying all the words and it seems to be throwing everyone off. You can tell the locals are getting pissed. They need to have that guy who played Agent Smith doing shit like this. That guy's got a See'N Say for a voice box. Back to spelling bees.
