...I don't get it.

thats the point he was trying to make. During the late 90's there were these taste test booths all over shopping malls, parks, beaches etc etc saying "which one do you prefer" they ran these internationally and combined statistics showed people prefered pepsi but bought coke.

so the test would go something like this.

Employee: Hello sir what do you buy pepsi or coke?

Taste tester: coke

so then the random taste tester would drink both samples marked A or B and say which one he preferd, and internationally in most cases he would say pepsi, even though he said he preferd/bought coke.

which goes to show how brilliant coca-colas marketing strategies are. I know another case study as well where coke is concerned...

anyone familiar with the "OLD FORMULA/NEW FORMULA" casestudy?

Haven't had a soda in about a month now...

the key is to have a gallon of water around

at all times.

you sir are correct!

but didnt they change the formula because they wanted to make it taste more like pepsi, and when people didnt like it they switched back calling it "coca cola classic" and sales boomed because consumers really appreciated the original formula when it was gone?

i bet you can buy that "new formula coke" from like 1990 off ebay for like $1000.
