The questions is WHICH airport would people arrive from? I don't think Palms Springs has a big airport, and that means it could cost a fortune to land there. I recommend making some friends from LA, land there, and hitch a ride with them to the event. It's about 1.5-2 hours away from downtown. Or even better just take a damn road trip to LA, and you won't have to depend on anybody to take you anywhere.
