His obsession was to break through the ultimate of all spiritual boundaries...the fear of death. He was a man who was obsessed with life, and, like Christ, I feel he knew that he had to destroy the ultimate fear to find the hidden life in the universe and himself. dosoner Posted September 5, 2001 Author Share Posted September 5, 2001 simply saying, that when you die, you "are dead" explains nothing at all, of course you are dead when you die, but is there anything after this? is there really a god? are you going to be judged by what you did in your lifetime? will you travel to a diffrent demension and live among creatures, that are both so alien and abstract, compared to what your use to,that is will confuse and scare the hell out of you? death is too uncertain to simply give it a lable of "im dead" and how would you know anyways? edited for spelling, i think i got them all? He was a great lyracist and his death was a loss to fans and others alike, as he extensivly helped the proggresion of psychadelic music and the conncetion between the artist and freedom of expression. I can also understand your dismay with the explotation of morrisons "beliefs" and death, as the same thing happend with Leary and in neither case was it justafiable.
