Updated: 9:11 a.m. ET Jan. 19, 20048:07 a.m. CST January 19, 2004 - A Canadian teenager's real name has prompted the Microsoft Corporation to sue him.

The teen's name is Michael Rowe and has his own website, mikerowesoft.com.

While Rowe thinks he has the right to use his own name to advertise his website design business, Microsoft doesn't see the humor in the similiarity.

"It's kind of obvious, my name is Mike Rowe .. and micro ... I'm not going to deny that I didn't register for that fact," said Rowe.

Microsoft has offered the teen $10 to pay for the site, however Rowe has asked for $10,000. (cheap bastards )

The 12th graders says he's not holding his breath for a check from Bill Gates.
