Spike
Look, I love the Mac as much as the next person, but dude has his own thread. Last time I checked this thread was for Dan Witz's work, so stop cluttering it up, go and bump up the old Mac thread if you want to post his stuff. bigpoppa.k
some other noteable mentions should go out to Alex MAC crew, ALA from boston has done some really good stuff, as well as Stylo VOP crew from London England in the early to mid 90's.. La Basura
yo heres my two cents... yo this thread is about realism on walls. this Dan Wits fellow is definitely a talented artist, he is basically a sticker artist...and i think he deserves respect just like the mac. as for the two poles issue. in my opinion, yo that shit looks mad fake. But apart from that. Ilike his work.. the mac in my opinion iis a great artist.str8 up. his work is truly unique.
Guest the answer
shutup and stop bickering fags just check out the flicks or piss off fuckheads the point that the mac is more of a "graffer" as you would like to say is irrelevant who gives a fuck all of the art in the streets adds to a greater picture how can anyone as writer ask people to respect their art if you dont respect others why dont you fucks go join a sorority im sure their looking for people just like you:king:
far...
dan witz i think is in a different class by himself. his originality, and just the fact that he comes up with this shit is what makes him great...i'm not too sure how much of the stuff is his own work...i mean the way i understand it is he takes an image, alters it on photoshop, prints it as a vinyl sticker, and then when he is on the street, he pastes the sticker and adds the shadows, lights and reflections with an airbrush, am i wrong? therefore in my eyes, i value artistic talent over originality in thought...TheMac, all the way! PS...theres got to be more flix from the mac! artcrimes has a bunch but i would imagine he must've done hundreds of walls so far! howabout interviews or anything...anybody know? i'll try to look myself...i'll post if i find anything... far...
Almost forgot, good ol daim's got some realism too! however these are not on the streets...they're spraypaint on canvas what i dont understand though, is what techniques and tools does daim do to get such thin and precise linework out of spraypaint, do u think he uses some sort of masking method, because these canvases are not that big, most are about 3x4 i'd guess. enjoy http://daim.org/daimleinw30.jpg'> http://daim.org/Leinw10.jpg'> http://daim.org/Leinw9.jpg'> http://daim.org/Leinw14.jpg'> http://daim.org/Leinw3.jpg'> http://daim.org/Leinw6.jpg'> http://daim.org/Leinw7.jpg'> http://daim.org/daimcanvas10.jpg'>

siloette
Hello- Someone asked about this. Its not linked to artcrimes yet because it isnt finished but Mac's site is- http://www.elmac.net The site is mostly about the artwork hence he tried to keep the illegal work offline. But in my opinion alot of his trains are where he really comes through. Also I agree, Alex One is really fresh.

gist st
Re: Re: Re: guys in hoodies and wtc shrines . Originally posted by shut up fagg word. that shit is lame. fuck realism. the only reason you hate realism is because you cant do it. and this Dan guy i give alot of respect to. Hes very orginal; i guess that just scares the average skill-less bomber. i would look at where your coming from and check your history about something you love so much and something that plays a large part in your life before you go dissing true artists because they dont rep crews and peice bridges, and like it or not this is urban art. i want to see more of this guys work. p.s im not dissing the insane art of "word computation" or whatever the hell you wanna call it, i do it too. but dont hate someones art because you cant match up. I know alot of this stuff i cant do and thats why i respect him that much more. and about daim being a toy? thats just funny.

thezeroblock
Dan Dan Paint IF you can Is it not terribly obvious this "dan" character is a toy in the art world so he's stepping into the "danger zone" to camoflage his middle of the road crap with some exciting graffiti like street cred? That is not even close to graff. and you should't respect it cause he's stealing peoples shit himself. does sace and guess get a cut? doubt it.
