UK COMMUTER TRAINS

someone said bacon will probably be reading this forum checking all our cunning schemes to outwit them. i want them to read one other thing, thats the fact that if it stops on trains, the streets will just get even more fucked, and if theyre claiming that it puts fear into the public then why push it onto the street where it will be even more visible?

Graffiti cant be stopped, i just dont think they realise that trains are the best canvas for evryone involved.

I thought this thread wouldn't just get ancient panels off Digital Jungle posted and new stuff could be posted; like the posts on the first page discuss? Like that Ezno panel is about 7 years old, I took the photo at Clapham Junction. Please stick old stuff in the normal commuter trains thread and new stuff not stolen off websites here.

BE WARNED...

Security cameras that can detect movement are being used in a hi-tech effort to prevent graffiti attacks on the railways. Central Trains says it is the first UK rail company to introduce the motion-sensitive cameras at stations.

The "FlashCam" takes a photograph of the culprit and issues an audible warning that the police are on their way. Central Trains says graffiti attacks cost the company about £300,000 each year to clean up.

The train operator says it copes with an average of about one incident each week, with the worst hotspots being in Royal Leamington Spa, Nottingham, Boston and Worcester. The FlashCams will be placed in each train siding. If the technology detects any movements it will sound the warning: "Stop. You are in a secured area. Leave now - the British Transport Police have been contacted and are on their way."

The answer to Graffiti and Trash Dumping

FlashCAM-530

Q-Star Technology

The FlashCam-530 was designed to deter vandalism. The two most popular applications are deterring graffiti and illegal trash dumping. Water companies are using the system as a first line of defense in protecting water storage tanks against intruders. Some systems are being used to deter burglary. Other customers report it deters drug dealing and prostitution.

The FlashCam-530 senses motion up to 100 feet away. When motion is detected, the system starts taking 35 mm photographs. A bright flash goes off and a loud voice message warns the intruder to "leave the area now" and that his/her photograph is being taken.

The FlashCam-530 was developed over several years with the help of Law Enforcement and anti-graffiti professionals.
