i don't know that alcohol is used as an ink remover. most ink is alcohol based.

back to 8th grade science(no offense):

like breaks down like,

water will remove water based ink and paint, just as water will remove watercolor paint from paper. same deal with cleaning up spilled lemonade or coke.

alcohol based ink will break down with alcohol. i should know, has some hella hard stains in my sink from my first batch of ink ever.

try it, get some rubbing alcohol and try it on buffing your ink. but it doesnt work on porus surfaces, like wood. ink seeps in too far.

my teachers used alcohol on dumbass elementary school tags when i was little.

like that

"mich3al wuz hur"

bullshit.

but yeah, theres diffrent stuff in it besides alcohol.

CANDY INK...

Wow.

I'm going to repost this from the Marker thread...

as it totally applies here as well.

-----------------------------------------

REPOST FROM THE MARKER THREAD

------------------------------------------

As for Smooth-Nutz... Calm down. If you get bored on the internet

and feel excited and not sure if you have a CONSTRUCTIVE comment

to say... Just don't say anything. Go ride your bike around to a part

of town you have never been to yet. Places you might have driven

through, but never biked through. You will get fresh air and see real

graffiti, not on the internet. You might even see some new spots or

real people to talk to... get those social skills working better.

Everyone, get outside. Get a bike. A busted cheap bike that won't get

stolen, and head into the shitty areas of town. Grab a cheap camera,

go take flicks of classic busted shit. It's in every town, and its more

real than any "graffiti" you will see on this site. I promise you that.

A lot of REAL writers don't get the glory on the net.

------------------

END OF REPOST

------------------

If you have questions to ask here... they have been answered

on the first 3 pages of this thread. If you have new information to

bring to the table, NOT new questions that you think no one has

asked yet, bring that shit up. But if you have questions... check

the first 3 pages. If you are unsure of the instructions... try them

in real life before asking "will this work if I...?", and if you are looking

for a chemical, or part that is described in the directions... look it up

on GOOGLE.COM first. Otherwise... you will only get flaming hate from

people on the board, and it sucks to read through all that.

CONSTRUCTIVE COMMENTS.

Try it out.

im actually dallas local, and i respect the post oink it makes sense. I added more pens and a touch of acrylic paint to my ink for opaqueness but suprisingly, my ink recipe is good ink, survived the rain without fading (we got some heavy ass rain the other day) i think it has a long drying time though, but not nearly as bad as brake fluid, and it stains painted surfaces like a bitch!(leaves a bluish/gray ghost, ink its self is blue) so im happy with my platypus ink.(because the parts and pieces are so goddamn random) I requested a sample from markal for their livestock dye that was meant to be diluted in water and stain animals for 14 days, but im not diluting it for shit. i think it would be a damn good additive for ink. thoughts?
