That's not true. Carried to its logical extreme, that would mean party A could bring up anything illegal it did in a different lawsuit in order to prevent it from being used against him later. It doesn't work that way.

well here's some more info....

My roomate knows a 'set painter' that works on films.

Apparently this is how it goes...

The Production Designer either has a stock of graffiti photos

or he has an Art Director who does. They give the photos to

a Set Painter and tell him where to copy them. Sometimes

they will hire a real painter if they want something good,

(like for realism) but in most cases they just know off bits and

pieces of local works. I guess they haven't discovered artcrimes yet.

So it looks like one of the higher up guys had a flick of my tag from

somewhere and said 'Yeah... put this big one in the circle on that door'.

Backhanded compliment for me!

I discovered that all the urban outdoors shots in 'eyes wide shut' were

actually inside a studio just by noticing exactly the same bad replica tag

put up in several places completely the same.

Then i read about it and my theory validated.

i got your email about this, so i might as well put it here for everybody considering the size of the thread...

the movie was shot on location in toronto, and that zesto tag was done on set in a warehouse.

and they did hire the real deal.

HSA did a big backdrop for the movie for the club scenes. and my guess is they didn't want to pay, .. them, more money to drop some tags in not-so-random spots, cheap bastards.

my guess is that the guy with the flix of your shit was Cyber. he works in the industry and has hired writers for things before. Sometimes he reproduces tags, but most of the time he contracts writers for it, dpending on time and budget.

if you want i can pass along a lawyers info who is currently suing Fuji, Point Zero Clothing and Chevrolet on behalf on some writers around here, pro bono, for legal and illegal work they pimped and used for advertising.

^ whoa. * that looks stangely familiar!

you've got the inside scoop on this one.

I've seen 'cyber' tags in the past. I guess it's just annoying that he

did such a shit job of recreating it. I mean it's not hard for an 'artist'

to look at a pick of a tag and copy it line for line. It looks like he took

one look at my hand and tried to freestlye a copy of it. And it's jacked!

and seriously.... if they had the HSA guys around anyways,

why not just turn them loose and let them drop whatever they wanted.
