Just wait till Nike/Pepsi wanta go street or some other multinational taps into the idea... not fa nothin but what i think he meant specifically is like elemental magazine for example would never get permission to use graffiti to advertize on an in service train car. whether its MTA or AMTK it just aint gonna happen. i never saw the fireman car so i dont know about that. maybe it was a scrap car. i think the detroit trains were maintenence cars - not in public service. movie sets....well yeah, but after the filming of dreams dont die the TA outlawed using TA equipment to film movies about graffiti. so yes it has occured in the states, the operative word being has. so perhaps he should have said this hasnt occured in the states in like 20 years. no matter how you slice it, europe is a lot more tolerant of graff that the states. i wonder if they had to rock them workbum vests when they painted that shit. Snack1
do uwriters count graphotism as a cool mag, or it's just a fuckin hiphop magazine with some pages about graff?
zeeizm
Years Ago it used to be a safe GRAFFITI magazine but it has always been a clicky kind of ting... any how just by posting this i'm taking it back to the top which i don't like doing I could open a can of worms on them but i'm holding it down... Zed i hear you... the MTA stopped letting people use Graffiti images after Dondi did the dreams ting... but still "never say never" if While u were sleeping/ The Source/ Rolling Stone or whatever came up with the idea or they bite the idea..and they had access to old rolling stock then it could happen... Keep a open mind...

Nah nothing like that, all graffiti but it` more like an International mag now, just about making money as opposed doing it for the love..But there`s a lot of people here who don`t like em and wouldn`t ever give them flix again.. Are they still putting American freights in the mag?? Last copy I kept was the Grnadfunkrailroad issue about the ol WD tube parties..Only browsed at the new ones.. stringfellow
yeah graphotism is pretty shit but its the only regular mag in the uk, they need to get rid of them freight cos thats 8 pages or so on things that are shit. i dont even glance at the frieghts its straight to the 2 pages of nt steel. which keeps me entertained for about 5 seconds. there should be a new mag like if the bomb alert lot did one a month then itd be mint cos itd have nutin but graff not loads of figures and student shit. finally that wholecar is good but 1.its legal 2.seens was illegal and the hand in the middle was still better peace
kopas1
and its a scrap, therefore worse than a freight! NT=king of scraps
Flat
.. Why? It mystifies me enough that graphotism give out good paint just to have a graphotism dub up on a few legals.. i mean anyone that gives a shit will already know about graphotism, so they can only be making a loss. But paying for a legal wholecar? Cant say anything about nt for doing it though, I know if I got asked I would. I think most people here would, no matter what they say. Sorry to detract from the grabbajism cussing, but Cheerleader I think it is more a reflection on the respective societies in general. Like America seems more everthing is balck or white (not race - wait for it) and Europe is more shades of grey. It is hard for me to vocalise, but it say for example America has a big war on drugs, but heck I bet the majority of you chaps reading this forum like to blaze and do whatever class a drugs you can get. Like the "public" face of America is against drugs, but the "private" side is everyone doing them. Or like politicans all being anti porn and pro family values, but they will have a mistress and like fucking her when tied up and wearing her panties. Europeans I think are a little more realistic (for want of a better word) and aknowledge, yeah people like porn, people like drugs, let's find a way of working round this and resloving for the good of everyone (big generalisations I know, but you get my drift?). I assume the train company had a scrap train car (and from the colour of the rolling stock it hasn;t run for about 10 years) and realised they could actually make some money from it. They know just cos a legal one got done it aint going to encourage illegal graf on trains, as that has been happening to them for the last 20 years non-stop. It is just them being realistic and trying to make some cash basically. Excuse the waffle and thanks for reading. Please let the cussing continue now.. ArfSkINeW
I think what is funny is that was permission, probably used special graffiti paint and it was done in the year 2003 and Seen's is still way better. It was illegal and probably done with good ol fashion krylon and rusto and was done in the 80's. That graphotism train is pathetic. I laugh at its inferiority. LOL
Guest imported_sofarok
Does anyone remember in an early gtism (4 or 5 maybe.) they wrote a whole editorial about how they weren’t about sticking a logo on any old piece of shit and flogging it? What the fuck happened? In pretty much every dealing I have had with them they have been at best unorganised and unprofessional and worst seemingly setting out to deliberately rip people off, it seems that any opportunity to commercialise Graff and make a quick buck is taken and if that means alienating those who have helped support them in the past they don’t seem to care, who is there primary audience these days, Toys and graphic design students? They never seem to address these issues either. From last weeks spamming campaign announcing the arrival of there latest scam its obvious that some one from graphotism checks 12oz,wa the new editor perchance? Im genuinely interested to here what they have to say, am I being to harsh is graphotism a benefit to the uk scene in some way ive over looked? Do I really give a fuck?....at the end of the day I may slate it but i still buy it, and at times even enjoy reading bits…..so I shouldn’t complain really? vynlone
Graphotisms earlier issues were a massive eye opener for me. Things like the Eine interview or the Astek interview I read over and over. Reading those issues made me realise the graffiti was much larger than I thought. But now the content does not mean shit to me and I especially hate it because its just another NT associated product. Also they are the worst mailorder company I have ever dealt with. I spent £45 about 2 years back and I got fuck all (literally). Fuck you Grabojism not only do you screw over your customers but people I have spoken to that used to work for you wouldn't piss on you cunts if you were on fire. GRABOJISM SUCKS BALLS
