7L produces some classic beats, too bad esoteric sucks

pete rock

necro

stoupe (produces for Jedi Mind and more recently canibus)

RJD2 (produced for mHz, has many mindblowing instros, produces for Soul Position with BLueprint on the mic)

3582 (fat jon and j rawls)

MF Doom (viktor vaughn and monster island czars albums kill it)

new Black Moon album has some sweet beats ('stoned iz the way' 'stay real' 'pressure iz tight', wack song titles but oh well)

akrobatik (produces a lot of his own beats, which sound awesome)

Capital D (with all natural, rockin it)

atmosphere has gotten pretty stale, but you cant deny that Ant delivers some kickin beats

brother ali is a way better emcee than slug, with production from Ant (rhymesayers entertainment, same record label)

company flow, cannibal ox (El-P produces a lot of this stuff, if you're into more abstract hip hop)

dan the automator (handsome boy modelling school LP has ill beats, same with Deltron 3030)

Dilated peoples (sort of all starts to sound the same after a while, but fresh stuff nonetheless)

el da sensei/artifacts (wrong side of the tracks has a classic jazzy beat)

gangstarr (dj premier always comes through with amazing beats, but once again a lot of his stuff starts to sound the same after a while)

jurassic 5 (no list of hip hop anything is complete without j5)

killarmy, sunz of man, wu tang all get amazing production

last emperor has some nice beats, dont know who produced all of them

living legends

looptroop (produced by DJ Embie...probably THE best at mixing huge numbers of samples, tied with RJD2...swedish shit dont sleep on it...they're also all writers)

lord finesse

large professor

Lootpack (madlib is crazy)

slum village (jaydee rocks the mic and the mixer)

non phixion has some amazing beats

peanut butter wolf is a crazy dj

pharoah monche gets great production

planet asia/rasco/cali agents (all classic shit)

Kutmasta Kurt is an awesome producer, check out the Skhool Yard album (kurt + planet asia and 3 other emcees from fresno)

Alkaholiks get ILL west-coast style production from e-swift and whoever else

tribe called quest of course

quick list, i missed a million names, but every emcee there is not only hyper-ill with the lyrics and the flow, but get great production (or more rarely, produce their own hot beats)

eh, mc solaar is not very good, in my opinion. i dunno, france is not the first place i'd go for hiphop.

i was trying to collect international hiphop mp3s for a while. scandinavia and spain were more my speed i think. drunken tiger's from la, but they're korean, and i dig that shit too. blah.

i don't care how much commercialism revolved around IAM after the Micro d'Argent album, i still listen to that album....same for saian....i liked them since the start, and even though they're more famous now i still think KLR is a good album..... Mc solaar sucks. I didn't here enough Profecy to judge. Jean Gabin is funny but can you say that guy has talent ? otherwise, Rocking Squat, Fabe, Oxmo, MÄ, ATK amongst others also get my vote.....
