metallix
So my both of my hard drives, 80/60 gig decided to short circuit. Microsoft Windows refuses to install because of a corrupt kernel (on the install cd...) Therefore I have finally left the computing domain of Windows. What saved my day? Knoppix Linux, a self-booting linux CD. One cd gives you everything you need to run a computer. No windows needed. IM typing this from the CD right now. Pure Excellency. I am a linux user for life now. I apologize to all linux user's who i have dissed in the passed.

metallix
Thats what my thinking used to be. Now when your stuck in an emergency no computer situation, this thing is wonderful. You would be surprised at how innotivative and functional this stuff is. Although admittely, i cannot imagine myself using this once i get my computer back up. i will probably have some sort of dual boot setup. windows is good for computer games... Vanity
quite the 180.... seeing how linux isn't as bad as you thought, would you actually ever buy windows (as opposed to free linux)?
