That would draw attention to them, the only white cars you see are reefers. But, I have seen white boxcars at a local airbase lined along a loading dock, cant see the reporting marks, but they are more than likely just for xtra storage, a lot of companies have old boxcars around here for storage... I tried knockin on the door i guess they were "tied up" hhhahhahha seriously thogu the cmp cars are real i think they gets used for work long remote stretches of track where there may not be any chep motels near by. they do look like mobile homes on low haulers bu they are affixed to the actually rails. no placing just welding good story though the truth is out there...trust no one.
