Accept, try something new with your 3d, thats what I did with my letters first when going 3d back in 2001. Its just.... a little bit too corporal for 3d if you know what i mean. beergut Posted March 9, 2008 Share Posted March 9, 2008 accept no....try using black for shadows in the piece...right now you're using a 3 color system. this is very similar to the way i began. light, medium, dark you understand. now add a dark color for shadows that your letters cast (remember this is 3d). flat black seems to work best, but there is less room for mistakes (oversprays, dark spots, etc). you can use a 4th for highlights but it's not necessary and takes more time. work on layering more, and become cleaner. i've also found a shadow on the wall from the piece works even without a forcefield. but like i said if you can afford to carry extra cans and more time go for it...hope this helps...
