Greetings from Bristol. As guest editor for a week I wanted to feature my home city as well as keeping it world wide. Contrary to popular belief not all Bristolians are farmers or pirates but we have been known to drink the odd pint of cider.

 

Bristol, in the south west of England, is famous for its harbourside, its music and for honourable mention in "Spraycan Art" for its graffiti. 3D was featured in the book back in ‘87 and later moved into music with Massive Attack. Throughout the eighties, graffiti in Bristol boomed, with names such as Nick Walker and Inkie also gaining popular recognition.

 

The British transport police eventually cracked down on the scene but recently it has grown again with new home-grown talent and with artists also moving to the city.

 

Regular Wooster watchers will know some Bristol artists such as Sickboy, Cheba and Mudwig but there are more to get to know... Paris, Eko, Ponk, Dicy, Mr Jago, Feek, China Mike, Rowdy, Sums to name a few. Roll the pictures...

Those chappies from Kingston Upon Hull get everywhere....Still not been to Bristol for Graf in all my time painting, which is criminal now that i live up the motorway from it.Ony ever been to Ashton Gate,and the locals drank more than the odd pint. Now whats the name of their firm? ;)

yeah thats what my dad reckons too. :confused:

 

i've always thought it weird cos i know theres another club with a firm called the City Service, but i can't remember who it is.

 

anyway i'll have to post some flicks now to stop everyone complaining about the football chat... :D

its the inter city firm (west ham) and the leeds service crew as far as I know....

 

hope you lot had a good un... xmas nearly got on top at the last minute for me but all turned out sweet but no steel....

 

see you all on the weekend around the 10th, and spotty: 'put that chicken leg down!' peash.

 

ps - getting broadband in a week so probably won't be off this fucker!

spottybot can you remember coming to cardiff either in the late 80's or early 90's and meeting any cardiff writer's if it is you have you any photo's of any early cardiff graff,as we don't have any,as we were busted by btp in the early 90's.
