Harriet Tubman

1:35 scale

The tall grass was intentionally installed to hide the inaccurate skirt/dress. My, Victorian wardrobe historian/consultant , friend informed me that the skirt I painted her in was from the 1930s-1940s. Not period. Another, gun knowledgeable, friend informed me that the first rifle that I had painted and glued into her hands (3 years ago) was not accurate either. Harriet now holds a more accurate rifle that she's seen holding in most artwork of her.

@Ko SprueOneis the Harriet Tubman part of a bigger project or are you just doing historical figures?

You must have a pretty big collection.

Correct, a historical figure series that I've recently started.

Completed already are: Su Tissue and Harriet Tubman.

Currently on the bench: Sojourner Truth, Rachel Corrie, and Alice Bag.

The 'to-do list' is far too lengthy to list here...
