Solid Colds deserve their own thread, they're dying out. All of them are already restamped something else, and many of the ones left are marked UPFE, but they really deserve separate billing. It's almost like 3 generations of reefer: Solid Colds dying out, yellow UPFEs still reigning but rumored to be marked for repaint/rehab in the years ahead, and the brand new ARMNs, which are already getting grilled for obvious reasons.

i was thinking that some of the armn flats were repainted/redone solid colds and the ridged ones i just started seeing might be repainted/redone upfe yellow cars...

 

do they do that sort of thing or are the armn's strictly brand new cars?

...that's kinda what i thought...i was just curious if the company got swallowed by UPFE or something like that...what were their original call letters?...sorry, i don't know that much about west coast freight lineage...but there should definately be a solid cold thread in the works...
