you can get your shoes dyed at shoe repair places. I don't know if they can do specific parts of it or if it has to be the whole thing, but from what I can remember, it seemed reasonably priced.

On another note, I scored two new pairs of shoes today, one being some dope Sambas from All Day I Dream About Sex.

lowdown...

the shoes they can dye are made of satin and are for women (as far as i know, don't know how many of you guys rock the pumps....or satin shoes for that matter...). anyway, it's a service usually taken advantage of by bride's for their wedding so the shoes match the fugly colored dresses they chose for their bride's maids.

for men however, there's a leather paint (space base knew it...) for shoes. it's available at most shoe repair places and comes in a variety of colors. but to do it, you'll also have to buy the solution that strips the topical layer and primes the surface below. it's pretty easy. did it way back in 91' to a pair of shoes and they came out looking new. just take your time and be sure to mask of the soles really well.

you need to get them airbrushed, there are plenty of places around that'll do it... try asking in a tattooists (they will probably know someone)

theres this kid here in chicago that uses paint markers to draw stuff on air force 1's..

it holds up really well because after the paint marker dries, you coat the shoe with a spray of clear sealer.
