BIG BUMPS!!!!!

Damn...It must be canvas season!

This thread has been going so well lately.

That last page is a great example of how a thread should be.

Images, images, and more images.

Props to all that contributed.

Let's keep it up!

Peace

Thanks for the good words guys.

SeYnO9... The wood is your average super smooth quarter inch door-skin attached to a 1x3 inch wood frame using finishing nails that have been counter sunk. I used satin latex house paint on the wood as a base layer and let that dry for several days. I drew my pattern out and then masked off for each color. Each color is a tone from Belton's Molotow series. IMHO, that is serious paint and covers like real paint. For what I'm doing I couldn't ask for better, I've worked with just about every brand. I did one color a day to give the paint plenty of time to dry. When all was finished, I cut .25" x 3.5" strips and painted them black. Attached them to the outside of the frame of the piece and used finishing nails and a some wood glue to hold them. Framing gave it the finished look it needed.

Here's the others. Different sizes from the one above but all related in style, and that's why it's an ongoing series.

Damn, You know what 12oz needs more than anything???

SPELLCHECK!!

GREATEST THING SINCE FAT CAPS.....

** I would also refrain from ever telling an artist how to do his/her work. Ecspecially, someone as fully devoloped like our man here Joker. I personnally paint for myself and hope that someone else likes it. If they don't like it then someone else will. That's what is so great about art.

thnks a lot... and simplicity is sometimes the way 2 go... i dont see anything wrong with strips of tape for lines...whether or not they were implemented in the previous works... as long as one is not using tape 2 paint a wall 4 straight lines

Coffie... Thanks for the comment. You're definitely entitled to your own opinion, I would never argue back about that. However, I think your suggections fall into the catagory of "Over done". Chris Yormick has been using characters, numbers and letters over color blocks for years. Of course, his color blocks are inspired by buff marks on walls... not mathmatically angular ones such as I do. Even still, adding those suggestions of yours would only make the pieces similar to a million other pieces out there. I'm quite certain that even mine aren't that original, but I'd like to think that they are. At least, I've never seen anyone do something similar.

For Joker – Your work, both graff and fine art is very inspiring. I’ve been a huge fan of

your stuff since the early 90’s. I look forward to seeing more of it in the future.
