what are a good set of markers to buy for colouring sketches?

prismas are nice, paintmarkers too.

*do u mainly use spray or brush on ur canvasses?

depends on the size of the canvas and what i'm painting

*what do u guys use for outlines on small canvasses? paint markers? brushes?

thin brushes/paintmarkers, depends how clean of lines i'm looking for/what the painting is of

*do u guys use masking tape or stencils for the sharp edges ur getting? (Joker im looking in ur direction on that one...)

i personally would have to use a straight edge or tape or somethign to get that straight of lines, but if i'm not mistaken, joker draws all of his lines freehand, and it wouldn't surprise me if he also paints all of those freehand as well

I use to swear by Prismas and Trias... till I came across a grip of Copic markers. Now I swear by them. Copic markers make the others seem like they were made in America.

Personally I use lots of stuff on my canvases. Whatever is going to work for the application I'm needing. From Spray to paint pens to markers to pencils. If you need the effect a certain tool gives... use it. Don't limit yourself.

If I'm working on something small I tend to stick with Press board before a canvas. This gives me the familiar surface of paper but with durability. This also gives me the opportunity to use inks instead of paint pens. A little more classic and definitely a better feel.

For my super sharp lines I use tape. The blue painters tape. I think I posted a 3x3 piece in here that is a few shades of red and a gray slice, black slice and so on. That was all taped off. There are also times where I refuse to tape off or use a ruler. This is something that was instilled in me by none other than Giant. I use to bitch about it when he'd nag me but I praise him for it now. You can be sure that any outline on a canvas that I've done is freehand. Which works for me. But I'm a psycho so find your own method.
