top 5 things to save in case of a house fire?

Recommended Posts

So i spaced out and left the flame on under the kettle. Had a lil kitchen fire as the melting plastic caught fire, and spread to the paper towels then to the wooden dish rack. What a fucking mess. And a really nice way to end a shower.

Anyway what would you save before your house/ apt/ box burned to the ground?

Family

Pets

some pictures(almost all of mine/my dad's negatives are kept in fireproof containers, along with a lot of video tapes that he filmed of my fam)

Those are really the only things i have that i can't replace, anyways, i'd never have time to save more then that if i wanted to try to save my cat, he'd for sure freak out and go hide.

good thinking Chupacabra!

I'm pretty sure those are the kind we have, we've got a couple of them. Its definitely worth the money, considering how badly it would suck to lose all of your photos, especially for someone who takes a lot, or to lose important paperwork and whatnot.

Those sentry fire safes are only good for protection from fire. They can be *easily* cracked open with a crowbar.

how would you know dirty???? :scowl:

Sentry does make some other safes too,

but I'm more interested in fire protection.

I've actually keep some of my real inportant things

(pics of old friends, old letters from girls, etc)

in a backpack so I can move it fast if need be.

I guess I'm still not used to be some domestic.

if the house was on the fire, my goofy ass family had better know how to get out on their own, because i damn sure am not saving their asses.

i would save:

-my dog suki (she's top priority)

-the necklace my defy gave me

-possibly my purse, because it holds a lot of important things

-my scrapbook.

fuck the computer, i hope it melts so i can get a new one..

:smiles:
